We all know that a killer sauce can make or break a delicious meal. Whether it’s mouth-watering steak dying to be coated in a luxuriously silky Béarnaise or a bowl of ice cream needing to be drowned in a salted caramel sauce, perfecting those all-important sauces is crucial, and we are here to help and guide you in this class.
Sauces are a very important part of any cook’s repertoire as they can form the basis of a huge range of dishes. In this sauce cooking class, you will master an area of cooking that is often considered tricky but really isn’t. We will guide you to knowing how to get the correct flavour, texture and how to select the correct sauce for whatever meal you are making. We will take you through techniques like reducing, straining, making stocks and adjusting and balancing them before serving. We will cover both savoury and sweet sauces.
We will explore a whole host of delicious tips and tricks to enable you to re-create prize-worthy sauces at home and how to transform these fundamental sauce recipes into other fantastic sauces by just tweaking or adding a couple of ingredients. You will also learn what meat, fish or veggies best accompany each sauce and get to taste and feast on these throughout the day. By the end of this class you will have the confidence to add a new dimension of delicious sauces to your dishes taking your cookery to the next level.

This class is suitable for beginners, but if you cook and want to learn more you are welcome
too and will pick up handy tips to improve your skills.
What do I need to bring?
We provide everything you need for your culinary experience – aprons, recipe
print outs, pens, all materials and ingredients.
Drinking water is available on site but please bring a water bottle if you wish to
What level of cooking experience do is required?
All of our courses are specially designed so that guests of any level can join us
and learn an abundance. Beginners or budding cooks will find support and
guidance as they practice new techniques and meet new ingredients, while
more seasoned chefs will thrive on all the tips and pointers we offer to add to
their skill set. Our personalized and patient approach allows for and welcomes
questions from all guests, whatever their level may be.
Is the course suitable if I have a food allergy or specific dietary requirements?
If you suffer from a food allergy, dietary restriction, coeliac disease or gluten
intolerance, please contact the school before booking.
We can normally accommodate by making slight adjustments for your specific
hands-on tasks, depending on what the specific course is.
What if I need to cancel my course after booking?
If a customer cancellation request is received 48 hours prior to a class, Dingle
Cookery School we allow a full refund or booking transfers. Please note late
cancellations will be charged the full fee amount.

Dingle Cookery School is located within five minutes’ walk from the town
centre. As you drive through Dingle town you will pass Super Valu on your
right, keep driving on this road. You will soon pass the large car/bus park will
be on your left and the Aquarium is on your right. Keep on this road, you will see a large sign for Dingle Cookery School on the right, drive up here, our building is the yellow one.
